About these photographs. These are unretouched before-and-after photographs of individual Helix Dental patients, published with each patient’s authorisation. In each image the upper photograph is before treatment and the lower photograph is after treatment. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed — the outcome shown may not be typical or achievable for you, and depends on your starting presentation, oral health, bite, gum condition and home care. A clinical assessment by a dentist is required to determine whether any treatment is suitable for you.
Risks of the procedures shown. Porcelain veneers: preparing a tooth for a veneer involves the irreversible removal of enamel; possible risks include tooth sensitivity, nerve irritation that may require root canal treatment, chipping or fracture of the porcelain, debonding, gum irritation, difficulty matching shade, and the need for repair or replacement over time. Composite resin bonding: composite can stain, chip, wear or debond, and may need repolishing, repair or replacement; sensitivity can occur. Clear aligners: discomfort and pressure are common, attachments may be bonded to the teeth, treatment depends on wearing the aligners for the hours prescribed, some movements may not be achievable and refinement or fixed appliances may be needed, and teeth will relapse towards their previous position without ongoing retainer wear. Teeth whitening: sensitivity and gum irritation are common, and existing fillings, crowns and veneers do not change colour. This is not a complete list — full information on risks, alternatives and recovery is set out in our treatment disclaimer and overview, and your dentist will discuss the risks that apply to your circumstances before any treatment is agreed.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
